KISTERS Water Portal

The system for experts

Bring your water resource management onto the next level

Develop a 360° view on all your water data and integrate water quality, droughts and floods, surface water and groundwater paired with meteorological information into a single portal. The KISTERS water portal technology brings water resource management to the next level. High end intuitive information products serve stakeholders straight to the point of past, current and future conditions. With our open standard interface your portal becomes a vital and secure service endpoint in intra- and internet. You save precious time answering data request and we deliver the data usage report straight to your desk.

Launch your secure web applications

Qur portal technology serves real web applications through the intra- and internet. Get the most out of your data and launch individual apps in our Portal Framework. Features such as user management, scalability and user administration were considered straight at the beginning. Our web applications are fully compliant to the requirement of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP).

Maps, maps, maps: the integration of space and time

A good map tells more than a thousand words. Our mapping experience is an integral element of the KISTERS Water Portal. We add all our time series technology underneath your maps and integrate access to any time series analytics for your area of interest. If for polygons, for point location or for gridded data, our spatial temporal conversion reacts on the click of your mouse and pops up high sophisticated time series graphs. You choose between fully featured esri base maps, google maps or maps from open source communities. We know maps… and we know time series!

Watch your water data on any device

Desktop, laptops, tablets and mobile screens are challenging user interface developers in any industry. Responsive Web Design ensures that the content and format automatically adapts to the available screen size. Menu bars collapse, text shortens, font sizes decrease and charts and maps re-render to adapt to smaller screen devices automatically. Our Water Portal is developed as a fully responsive web application. Just use your finger to swipe and touch your water data on any device.

Give the flexibility back to your users

Our portal user can create an unlimited amount of dashboards. Let the user design their own water dashboards as simple as music playlists. The user can add any map and any chart with surface water, groundwater, water quality or meteorological content to the dashboard of his choice . Our dashboards enable you to give the flexibility back to your users to assemble their individual screen of information products

Share results with your stakeholders

A clear backend architecture helps you to control the relevant data dissemination processes. Our portal technology sits on top of your repository and protects your operational environment from public access. Provide a role based login to respond to the different needs of your stakeholder groups. Citizens, flood operators or decision makers see their tailored environment with information products that speaks their language. You can share more than screens. Downstream applications requesting the underlying data have access to our open interfaces serving the data through open standards (such as provided by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). Explore our open industry standard in addition to complete the offering of your forecast portal.
